My child has taken lessons here for a handful of years now. The environment is positive, supportive, and focused on helping each student grow at their own pace.
It’s clear the teachers love what they do, and that energy carries over to the kids. We are so grateful to be part of this community and to have teachers who make such a meaningful impact beyond just music lessons.

Absolutely love this academy!
I can’t say enough good things about this place! Every time I call, the customer service is amazing—so friendly and helpful. Whether I need to adjust my kids’ lessons or just have a quick question, they always make it so easy. And in person? Even better! The whole staff is super nice, and they make both me and my kids feel so welcome every time we walk in. You can tell they truly care. Highly recommend for both kids and adults—such a great place to learn music!

Mr. Mark Valentino has been an excellent instructor for Noah. If Noah is already having a rough day, Mr. Mark allows them to have a "jam session" where they just play what they want without reading music. I moved to a different city and Noah has been doing virtual lessons, but I plan on bringing Noah back to Columbia for lessons so he can be in the building with the amazing staff. I am so grateful to Irmo Music Academy. ?
