Arrived 20 mins early to my new patient appointment instead of 30 mins, and was told I need to reschedule. Ha! I’ll find somewhere else instead.

Extremely unimpressed with the willingness to work with patients the team members demonstrate. It should concern the providers a great deal having an administrative team representing them in such a manner.
    The team makes the place……..

Stay away! Find a practice that care about customer service! Booked a new patient appointment with one of their providers. Appointment was at 10:15 am. Leading up to the appointment I received multiple calls/texts/emails, and used the links to fill out all the different forms online ahead of time, as well as using the link in a text the day before to complete the check in process. It had been mentioned that new patients should arrive 30 minutes before the appointment, but I figured that was to allow patients who did not fill out the forms online, time to complete them before the appointment. To add to this, my significant other had just completed her new patient appointment the day before and had arrived 15-20 minutes before her appointment with no issues. I pull in to their parking lot a little before 10, and I’m in the reception area by 10. When I walk in, all 3 office staff are engaged in a lighthearted conversation with the one person ahead of me. They wrap up that conversation, and one of them proceed to start checking me in. When she pulls up my appointment, she informs me that because I didn’t show up 30 minutes early, I can not be seen today and have to reschedule. At no point did they say in their messages that the appointment really started at 9:45, and that if you showed up past that time, you would not be seen. Considering how often you as a patient have to sit and wait past your appointment time, it’s ridiculous to assume that people will show up 30 minutes early, unless you specifically say that it is the time the appointment really starts. Don’t tell me my appointment is at 10:15, but really it starts at 9:45. The staff member started to look for another appointment time, but as that process started to drag out, assuming she would tell me next available time would be 2 months out, I told her to stop looking, and that I would find another provider. This is probably just a front office problem, and maybe they have some good providers, but my recommendation would be to look elsewhere and not waste your time with this practice. From reading other reviews, I don’t think I’m the only one who has experienced the rude and unreasonable office staff at this place. Whoever is the office manager should be fired and find a job that doesn’t involve customer service.

Everyone is SO kind and welcoming; from the doctors and nurses to the front office staff. Thank you all for what you do for me!

My son’s doctor omitted concerns about adhd medicine side effects from his notes and I was pressured to change his medication to brands with worse side effects because they misunderstood a voicemail from insurance and didn’t want to talk to insurance directly or listen to me. My insurance understood the situation and approved the appeal to keep him on the medicine he was used to. The clinic office staff insisted they went above and beyond because they did their job and submitted the appeal as requested but when it came to their misunderstanding they insisted they were right and that insurance had denied the appeal and pressured me to switch my son’s medicine, disregarding my concerns about the 5 side effects he’d been experiencing already with his current medicine that was prescribed because it had the least severe side effects of all the brands. I tried reasoning with the staff and repeatedly explained insurance had not denied the appeal, I was on the line with the insurance agent when she left the voicemail and that’s not what she said- they were requesting the appeal because they still hadn’t received it and suggested the dr could do a call instead. The staff acted like I was accusing them of lying about sending the appeal but I was simply stating insurance said they didn’t have it. I’d faxed insurance a form myself previously that I had to resend because they didn’t receive it so I never thought the clinic was lying but the fact remained that insurance didn’t have it and it needed to be sent. The clinic forced me to be the middle man and wouldn’t listen to me. After a month of back and forth I finally expressed my frustration and was told I was welcome to use another provider. After a month of me and the insurance dealing with this clinic the insurance just overrode the appeal process so my son could have medication. As a parent, I only supported the medication at heavy suggestion by his school and doctor to begin with. It gave him skin rashes, suppressed his appetite, disturbed his sleep routine, caused challenges with emotional regulation and gave him severe muscle soreness. Again, this was the brand we decided on because it had the least severe side effects of all the brands. The well being of my son wasn’t the focus of this practice when it really came down to it and I lost all trust in their ability to actually care for him so I was happy to agree that a different provider would be a preferable solution. The whole situation was a nightmare made worse by staff thinking they were going above and beyond by doing their jobs and treating my family like a burden because doing what was right inconvenienced them. I had to deal with them, insurance and the pharmacy, acting as the middle man for all in this whole ordeal and it wasn’t convenient for me at all but doing what’s in a child’s best interest is not always going to be easy.

I was very disappointed in this practice. I was new to the area at the time I made my initial appointment and was looking for a new doctor to serve my whole family. I saw Brittany Barham. My initial appointment went well. I got results back from my bloodwork and there were some irregularities. I have never had abnormal blood test results before, so naturally, I had a few questions (nothing major just looking for clarification). I called to speak with either Ms. Barham or a nurse and the response I got was extremely rude and dismissive. I explained I was just looking for a quick, 5 minute phone call explaining my abnormal results. I was floored by how rude the nurses were and how unable they were to explain even the simplest of questions. I was even more floored how unwilling anyone was to connect me with Ms. Barham (practitioner). I’ve never experienced this with any doctors I’ve worked with from OBs, pediatricians, etc. After several phone calls, I was told that if I had any questions I’d have to make an appointment (even though I was just seen). Unreal. If you’re looking for a personal, long- term relationship with a practice/care provider, I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere.
