I visited Dr. Michael Sein for severe pain caused by a herniated disc between L5 and S1—a common condition, but one I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The pain radiated from my hip down through my hamstring, making it nearly impossible to sleep or walk comfortably.
Enter Dr. Sein. He performed an epidural that was precisely targeted to the problem area. I noticed significant relief the very next morning, and within five days I was completely pain-free.
I should also mention that while an epidural sounds intimidating, it was far less uncomfortable than I expected. Overall, an excellent experience with outstanding results.
I want to give special thanks to Dr. Miranda Hayworth. She has been with me since the very beginning and performed my surgery with incredible skill. We made three phone calls and left two messages yesterday, May 29, to this office to let my physician, Dr. Catherine Tannehill, know that I was in the emergency room at McLeod Regional Medical Center ER ( literally a block away) for something that could have been a product of my craniotomy. We drove from Calabash North Carolina to the regional Medical Center because if this was a product of my craniotomy, I would be where I needed to be to get the best care.I was in the emergency room from 1 PM to 9 PM and never received an acknowledgment of the three calls to this office or the two messages left.
