I cannot recommend Khrys highly enough. Other places told me my dress was too complicated and would take too long, so they wouldn’t even take it. Khrys accepted it without hesitation. The alterations were genuinely challenging — she basically had to take the whole dress apart and remake it — and she was completely undaunted, even with a short timeframe. She isn’t just a seamstress; she’s a magician with needle and thread. The result was beautiful, and she’s so kind and easy to work with. If you need serious alterations done right, go to Khrys. She’s the best.
I heard about Jackie’s through word of mouth, so I brought my wedding dress here to get hemmed. It turned out to be the best experience I could have hoped for. Easy, no stress, fast, and came out exactly how I hoped! The turn around was 2 weeks which was incredible. The bustle on my dress is STUNNING!!! Hats off to the folks at Jackie’s.
I took several pairs of jeans here for alteration because my friend in Columbia loves Jackie's. I live in Charlotte, but I made a special trip to visit Jackie's. When I returned to pick up my pants after they had been altered, I discovered there was some work that needed to be redone. They were very apologetic. I had planned to return to Columbia later; however, a few days later, the owner of Jackie's showed up on my doorstep in Charlotte. He had driven two hours to deliver my pants back to me. What amazing customer service! His kindness has stayed with me for weeks.
