My maltipoo started limping so I ask my vet for a referral to an Orthopedic.. She sent me to Dr Stan at Capital Animal Hospital. The minute I walked into the office I knew I was in the right place. The staff was so friendly and treated my Rocky with love. I met Dr Stan and he started explaining everything to me. He explained Rocky needed TPO surgery and explained what he’d do step by step. I felt confident he’d fix my little Rocky and he did. He also picked up on that something else possibly Cushings was going on with him. He is very observant. We were referred to Capital Animal hospital by our vet and we could not have been more pleased. Our 10 year old lab Forest had TPLO surgery with Dr. Stan in July 2025. Dr. Stan and the staff were amazing during the entire process. Dr. Stan explained the procedure with hand drawn diagrams and X-rays. Our post-op instructions were very thorough and Dr. stan followed up every time he said he would. There was great communication and transparency about pricing also. Hopefully we won’t need anymore ortho surgery but if we do we will definitely be back to see Dr. Stan at Capitol Animal hospital.
