AKOME AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING

Being from a place where braiders are readily available it was hard for me to find a braider here. It took me weeks to make a decision and I decided to try out Akome?. I was able to get an appointment when I needed it. Her and I discussed the idea I had for my braids as well if my texture would be good for what I want and she did my hair exactly how I wanted. I enjoyed her hands in my head, her braids are firm but not tight. I'm glad I found my braiding stylist☺️?

Initially my braids came out fine and I wanted to wait a few weeks to do a review, but it's been 6 days and my hair isn't holding. The box braids along my edges were braided with a lot of hair which hung on to a few strands of my natural hair. 2 braids along my edges are snatched out because the braids were too heavy hanging onto a small portion of my hair. I wanted medium size braids so I'll be able to style them, but they're bulky and the braids at the back of my hair are much bigger. I live in Atlanta and had no choice while I was in town other than to get my hair done there. This is the worst place EVER!!!! I went to Akome to have my micros taken out. First of all the whole time i was there all the did was speak French. The older lady who was taking my hair out was cuttin my braids pretty short. Wen i told her she said she was nowhere near my hair. Once my hair was completely finish i felt like i was bald-headed. Normally my hair is down my back. Now my hair doesn even reach my shoulders. I would not recommend anyone going to this shop. Once i got home and blowed my hair to see the actual damage i tried to call the owner back, she was very rude and hung up the phone on me. I have filed a complaint with SC Cosmetology Board.
