I just had the most warm and welcoming pedicure I have ever had at this varnish lane. Apologies for not remembering the names of the amazing women who handled my sister and I's pedicure but I am so grateful for their professional and welcoming personalities. The shop was immaculate, my toes feel amazing and look phenomenal. I even came in with a broken toenail and she worked ao diligently to cover it. We laughed together and I learned a lot about nail polish and was given amazing advice on how to work on strengthening my nails back after the toxic manicures I've had in the past. Very impressed, and probably one of the better pedicures I've gotten in Charleston! I have had a slew of sub-par pedis lately at various places around town. I used to go to this location when it was the Water Room, but it fell off my radar after it changed ownership, and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the waterless thing. Well after reading an article about how much gross bacteria is harbored in all of those jets, I immediately remembered Varnish Lane and booked an appointment. I didn't miss the water at all! The lovely ladies of Varnish fit me in last minute when I was in town and needed my nails fixed the day before a wedding. Everything was very clean, the reclining seats were so comfortable, there were no fumes, and the ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. The manicurist Maranda was personable and so sweet! I would definitely come back if I'm in Charleston again.
