Live Oak Memorial Gardens

I am very upset with Live Oak Memorial Gardens! My father was recently buried here. My father had always told our family that my mother and him had two plots next to each other purchased at live oak. I was told by live oak when he passed there was only one plot left for our family. Come to find out from live oak months later after burying him there are two plots side by side above my grandmother and grandfather. Live Oak buried him in the wrong place instead of burying him where my mother could be buried beside him. Rather disappointed lately. My parents have plots there and perpetual care was a major consideration when they purchased. For the last several years, I've observed many headstones and corner stones covered by grass... some nearly completely covered. My parents were told they had to purchase a flat headstone to make it easier to mow and provide lawn care but apparently nobody is really caring for the grave sites. Also, my flowers were recently removed. Yes, they were white and gold poinsettias, but even in March, that looks better than empty vases.

Live Oak Memorial Gardens on Ashley River Road in West Ashley is a beautiful and well maintained cemetery. I have been impressed every time I have been here for a service. Everything is easy to access and there is plenty of parking available.
