About Circular Congregational Church

Circular Congregational Church is a historic and welcoming venue in downtown Charleston. The church offers an uplifting "Bright Family Gospel Singing Experience" and features a beautiful interior with stained glass and architectural details. Visitors can also explore the old cemetery behind the church, which is a unique graveyard that surrounds the entire church. The church doesn't have a yard space where there isn't a gravesite. It is a great place for some meditation and reflection. The amount of graves is impressive. Loved the welcoming signs so everyone would know they are safe at this church!

Visited the circle church on a vacation to Charleston and I just want to say thank you. It can be hard to travel as a queer person, especially in the south because of all the people spewing hate in the name of a loving God. It's nice to see that there are still chuches with the right priorities. Thank you for boldly loving all God's children, even in a place where hate is so common.

Attended a Christmas Eve Service here as an out of town visitor and found it to be a welcoming place with a positive and timely message from the pastor. They served wassail and cookies after in the hall which was a real treat.

Fascinating church and cemetery in the heart of Charleston. It takes only seconds to walk thru and its so worth the look back in time.

The actual church is only open to tour certain days.
