Dr. Visser and her staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. They were able to work my cat in as a last-minute appointment, which meant so much during a very stressful situation. We had a wonderful experience with Charleston Animal Eye Specialists when our puppy Birdie was diagnosed with entropion. They got us in quickly, were incredibly kind and loving with her, and took the time to explain everything clearly and honestly.

We especially appreciated their conservative, thoughtful approach — they recommended a less invasive option first, which ended up completely resolving the issue. Pricing was fair and transparent, and the entire team treated Birdie like their own.

I have been so satisfied with this office. Dr Visser and her staff are beyond great--they are exceptional, professional, fun, and knowledgeable. I appreciate Dr Visser's care and commitment to her patients by traveling out of town to my area so that her excellent care is more readily available to me. I appreciate her dedicated staff who travel with her. I especially love (love, love) that Dr Visser has chosen to be a hands-on vet. I have been so frustrated with other animal eye specialist offices when I'm scheduled to see a different vet for the same problem or follow up time after time after time (often with no choice otherwise). I don't see the quality of care in that. With Dr Visser, I don't have to worry about that anymore and I am so glad. I rest easy knowing she cares for the eyes of my sweet little dog--who I think is the best and deserves only the best!!

Dr. Visser and her team did a fantastic job fixing my English Bulldog, GusGus’, entropion. They were great to work with for scheduling, prices were very fair and competitive for his procedure and care, and of the utmost importance - they were skilled and patient while working with his sassy personality! My dog had an indolent corneal ulcer, and Dr. Visser, Loren, and Kelly at Charleston Animal Eye Specialists were absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, they were professional, compassionate, and clearly cared about my dog. Dr. Visser explained everything thoroughly and performed the debridement with great care. Because of his age, he needed a second procedure, and the team once again went above and beyond. He’s now fully healed! The cost was also very reasonable for a specialist — not much more than a regular vet visit. I’m so grateful to Dr. Visser and her wonderful team. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️

Dr. Visser and staff are simply the best. My exotic persian cat had a corneal sequestrum and after months of trying to manage it with meds, he did end up needing surgery. I was highly anxious about the procedure but they made it a breeze and so much less of a big deal than I was expecting. Dr. Visser genuinely cares about your pet and takes the time to reason through with you the best course of action so you feel confident with what is coming next. They treated Watson like their own and I am very thankful they were the ones to care for him!

Everyone at the practice was patient, compassionate, and caring. They made sure we both felt comfortable through the entire process. Charleston Animal Eye Specialists were amazing with my dog, Tilly. The team was kind, knowledgeable, and efficient, and they truly went above and beyond to get to the root of her eye issues. The clinic is spacious and welcoming, and everyone took the time to make Tilly feel comfortable.

I truly appreciate that they were able to remove a growth from her eye without putting her under anesthesia, which was such a relief given her age. If your pet has any sort of eye issue, I would go straight here. They have the knowledge to treat and address many issues without putting them through an invasive procedure - our referring vet would have had to put Tilly under anesthesia to remove this growth. Their expertise and gentle approach made all the difference. I’m so grateful for their exceptional care and highly recommend them!
