Had a terrific experience tonight at Black Label. I’ve been training for about six years now and was in Charleston for work and wanted to get some good training in tonight, and I was not disappointed. Professor Malachy not only gave incredible instruction, but he was also very welcoming along with all of his students. Great environment and great training. Couldn’t ask for more. If I’m in Charleston again, I’ll be back for sure!
Came here for a trial class last and it was great. I don’t remember many names but I spent time with Dave and he was great. He made sure to slow things down and spent the time to teach me some things instead of just blowing through it all. I’m having surgery for an injury (non related) but will def be back this summer to train here. The place is clean and everyone was friendly and happy to help me, even as the “trial guy”
Hi my name’s Chris. I’m a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As a black belt I am able to identify effective BJJ techniques. I have never been to this academy in person, but I follow Malachy Friedman on Instagram and I can confirm he offers some of the best BJJ techniques around. His demonstrations are easy to understand and he’s one of the nicest guys I have spoken to. I definitely recommend visiting his school!
