I made a very short notice visit to this shop, schedule already set etc. I wanted a very specific cut and the owner himself accommodated me when he didn’t have to. Sat me in the chair, treated me like family and sculpted my hair like a true artist. That level of commitment to the community is rare and I’m happy to see it exists in today’s world. The walls are lined with American memorabilia and American Culture. I have found my go to barber shop FINALLY. Thanks so much Joe and crew.

I just noticed a critical review of the shop and Wanda in particular. She has cut my hair on numerous occasions, and has been nothing but pleasant, cordial and professional in every way. The person described in the review is not the same Wanda who has cut my hair. I hate to see hardworking people, like Wanda, disparaged in any way. I rarely write reviews but wanted to let others know that you can trust Wanda to provide a great hair cut, and in a very professional manner.

Thanks to Wanda and her poor customer service and awful attitude this establishment has lost our business. It was such a poor experience we ended up walking out before she even cut my son’s hair. This place held a special place to us as it’s where my son’s first hair cut was and we’ve been coming ever since. My husband and other family members went here as well. Steve did kindly welcome us in which is what we’re used to (so thank you, Steve) but Wanda was so cold and rude from the initial interaction. She was short, snippy and didn’t seem to want to be there. He had gotten a sticky spot in his hair before we got there at snack and she was beyond inconvenienced to brush out the inch sized spot to the point I said “we’ll just come back”. It only escalated from there to the point we just walked out as I wasn’t going to allow her to lay a hand on my son’s head. I was willing to pay one of the other barbers sitting there 100% tip to do the service and they both said “no we don’t have time we’re about to close”.
EDIT: after owners response. There is zero embarrassment on my part that my ONE year old got a small amount of snack in his hair. She NEVER asked, we brought it to her attention in advance. We’ve been there multiple times and I’ve never seen her in a pleasant mood or god forbid a smile on her face. Take accountability in your staff and their customer service as they’re the ones representing your business and your name.
