I drove 2.5 hours mostly on one-lane roads to see Dr. Porcelli for a second opinion based on the Google reviews, and I'm happy to say it was a worthwhile decision. While other dentists advised a root canal on a painful tooth, Dr. Porcelli was insightful enough to realize that the problem was bone inflammation and not inherently the tooth itself. He adjusted my bite and my night guard—minimally invasive solutions. (Other dentists had tried the same, but they could not do so as to relieve the pain.) Dr. Porcelli and his staff are wonderful and they have been so accommodating and kind, despite all of the many challenges that I have as a patient with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS). I found Dr. Porcelli after I became too challenging medically for my previous conventional dentist. I needed repairs to previous dental work, and Dr. Porcelli performed biocompatibility testing to find the safest materials to use for me. I want to sincerely thank Dr. Porcelli for the time and dedication he gave during my consultation. He took the time to thoroughly explain to my husband and me the root of the problem that has been affecting my health, causing pain and inflammation in different parts of my body.
To my surprise, just one day after visiting his office, I woke up with no pain in a knee that had been causing me severe discomfort for three months. The most incredible part is that this significant improvement happened after just one portion of the cleaning process on my teeth. It felt like the pain vanished as if by magic.
