“The classes at Anderson Yoga Center are wonderful! The reformer pilates classes are also great and just the right amount of challenging. I appreciate the 1 month intro offers and the $10 drop-in specials.“

Stress Management Center at Fernview Yoga

“Fernview Stress Management Center is truly a hidden gem in Anderson, South Carolina. I’m so thankful I found this place, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who feels nervous about reaching out for support.

I was hesitant to start therapy again, especially after having multiple negative experiences at other places in the past, but I finally decided to call Fernview when my stress reached an all-time high. From the very first phone call, the front desk staff was kind, patient, and helpful. I briefly explained what I was looking for help with, and they were able to schedule me quickly. Scheduling has been super easy, and so far, I haven’t experienced any long wait for appointments with the counselors I see.

Every staff member I’ve come across has been extremely kind and professional. They always greet me with a smile, call me by name, and ask if I’d like anything to drink. I know those may sound like small things, but they really do make a difference when you’re walking into a place feeling nervous or vulnerable. I have never felt judged here. I have only ever felt welcomed.

The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Fernview. The waiting room is peaceful and calming, almost like a cozy cabin in the woods. There is soft music playing, candles going, and an overall sense of calm as soon as you walk in. They also have a beautiful multipurpose room where they hold classes like yoga and group therapy. It has huge windows that look out into the forest, and you can see wildlife outside. It is such a peaceful setting.

The counseling has been such a positive experience. Andrea is seasoned, compassionate, and easy to talk to. She is great with families and has been so helpful with me and my young elementary-aged kids. My daughter loves seeing her and actually looks forward to her appointments.

Mercedes is also incredible. She truly knows her stuff, listens closely to every word you say, gives thoughtful feedback, and helps you dig deeper in a meaningful way. She leads an adult healthy coping skills group twice a month that covers real-life topics like anxiety, depression, anger, conflict, boundaries, relationships, stress, grief, motivation, impulse control, and so much more. I genuinely love going to the class. You can join at any time, so if you’re reading this, come to the next session!

They also offer in-person yoga, which is recorded live on Facebook five days a week, including gentle yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Heather leads the yoga sessions, and she has such a calming, positive presence and peaceful meditative voice. In fact, her voice is so meditative that you can also listen to her guided meditations on YouTube under the page Fernview Center. You can tell she really cares about the true meaning of yoga: connecting the mind, body, spirit, and breath.

Fernview offers so many services, so I would definitely recommend calling the front desk and asking what a good fit for you might be. This place has been gentle, welcoming, and supportive in a way I didn’t even know I needed. If you’re nervous about starting therapy or trying again after a bad experience somewhere else, I really think Fernview is worth reaching out to.

It’s changed my life for the better and ignited a passion in me I didn’t know I had.“
