I found Palmetto Physical Medicine after moving to South Carolina from another state. I had been in 2 car accidents that had ravaged my body with pain. My body compensated and I wasn't moving right which created pain in areas that weren't affected by these accidents. My other healthcare providers had told me to expect I would never get any better. I had been told to just learn to deal with the pain. Every day, every movement brought pain. I kept praying and believing that this wasn't true, but it got harder every week to keep being positive. The group at Palmetto made such an amazing difference for my husband Tom. When we first arrived there Tom could barely walk. He was recuperating from radiation and chemotherapy treatment and was weak. He had fallen while being treated for cancer and had injured his knee and his back. He had frozen shoulders from being in bed for so long. Palmetto physical medicine started working with him at the beginning of the year. Within two months he was walking without his cane.
