Avoid this place at all costs!! I took my dog here today and was spoken to very aggressively about his vaccinations. I said something to the vet and was told, “I’m sorry you perceived it that way.” That is not an apology. That’s the same as saying - that’s a you problem. I said something to the vet about it not being an apology and that it was actually very condescending. My husband ended up taking over for me as I was frustrated. I went home but not until I left a 1 Star review. They scheduled him for a procedure tomorrow to fix a large wound. Imagine my surprise when they called at 530 to say they’d only see him if I removed my review. I’m not removing my review. It’s the truth. And it’s what happened. Now they have responded to my Google review saying they will only see him if I remove my review. Mind you - you already took $900 from me. This is not how you run a business. This is not how you speak to the people that keep you in business. And apparently, they’re like this to everyone about vaccinations. I’ve shared my experience online and am getting tons of comments with people experiencing the same treatment. I never yelled or cussed at them. I was direct in telling her that wasn’t an apology.

We lost our fur baby today, and the hospital was very kind with the process. Dr. Poppy and the staff kept everything quiet, they fulfilled all my weird requests, and explained the process with kindness. I am grateful the staff is so caring. You know they truly love animals. My baby went knowing he was safe.

We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our baby girl Jenny. It was sudden and very traumatic. But the entire staff at Hitchcock Animal Hospital made the experience a bit more bearable. They were so kind and accommodating and they treated our baby girl with all the respect and dignity she deserved. I don’t wish this situation on anyone, but if you find yourself facing this decision, I highly recommend Hitchcock.

This office has gone downhill since Dr. Berry is no longer there. Dr. Berry always provided prices upfront and kept you informed as the appointment progressed. There is a reason the parking lot is empty here.

I was trying to find a good animal hospital in Aiken to bring my two cats, so I made an appointment at Hitchcock Animal Hospital. Dr. Poppy was so sweet and caring to my babies! Hannah was super informative about what I should do with my cats since moving down here, gave me a lot of great tips, and handled my cats with care.
The staff are all very compassionate towards your animals, and I’m so happy I found a great animal care clinic. I cannot recommend them enough 😊

This place is just good enough to keep you thinking ok just one more chance, then I will change Vets if the experience is bad again. Do yourself a favor and start with a different Vet. To the managers response. I am the owner of 3 dogs that now will no longer be using your services. Yes in this situation it was not about my dogs so I do agree with you on that point. To this particular situation you should be upfront about what needs to happen. Telling the owner one thing then changing the story 3 days later when someone shows up in person is unacceptable and being rude did not help the situation.

I can’t say enough great things about Hitchcock Animal Hospital! My dog Indy recently injured her dew claw, and after her routine vet of 7 years refused to take the issue seriously, I knew I needed to find someone who would. Thankfully, Hitchcock stepped in and exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we walked in, their friendly and caring staff made both Indy and me feel welcome and reassured. They took her injury seriously, treated it promptly and professionally, and showed such genuine compassion and expertise throughout the process.
The clinic itself is immaculate, well-organized, and inviting, which only added to the confidence I felt in their care. After this experience, it’s clear that we’ve found a new veterinary home—we’ll absolutely be continuing as clients of Hitchcock Animal Hospital.
If you’re looking for a team that truly prioritizes your pet’s health and well-being, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
