“I was a happy patient of a local dental office in Augusta GA for 25 years. They are wonderful and did great work. I have been blessed with good teeth so I never needed anything more than a cleaning. A few months back, based on the exrays, it was determined that I needed two fillings. I went to my trusted dentist office and they did the work. My mouth started to hurt and I could not eat anything on the teeth that were worked on. I contacted the doctors office and for the next 6 weeks they tried to adjust the bite and determine other reason, but nothing was resolved. I talked to Dr Saadia Akhtar! She agreed to bring me into her office. She tested the two teeth with specialized tools, determined that only one of the two fillings previously done was causing the issue. She offered a treatment plan to remove the that one filling, apply desensitizing material along with a temporary filling. That could help us determine if that initial filling composite was the culprit. Within a day or two after Dr Akhtar worked in my mouth, I was finally pain free! I was so thankful! I was told by others that perhaps I might need a root canal or that my roots were damaged from the first filling. But Dr Akhtar with her knowledge and skills was able to figure out and resolve the problem without further invasive procedures. After weeks of testing the tooth with the temporary filing, she called me into her office to remove the temp filling and put in the permanent one, yesterday. I went, Ms Dee Dee greeted me and worked closely with me while Dr Akhtar worked diligently in my mouth to place a permanent filing. Ms Dee Dee was so calm and polite that it made me comfortable, though I am quite anxious about dental work. From the front desk receptionist to the girl who walked me back to room 5, to Ms Dee Dee, to Dr Akhtar, the super star team at Dental Center West, helped me realize that dental work is still not my favorite, but when and if needed, I will only trust Dr Akhtar to work in my mouth! She has been blessed with the ability to correct and cure your mouth! I live in GA and drove for 54 minutes to get to this practice in SC, and I will always choose this practice for myself and my family members! Thank you Dr Akhar and team for doing such great work!“
