Coming from Pawtucket, the home of the American Industrial Revolution, I'd never made the trek all the way out to Woonsocket to check the museum out. But my now LA-based daughter was visiting, and wanted to see the Welcome blanket exhibit since her friend had one on display. (I'm not certain how a museum here is the recipient of 330 handmade quilts and blankets - 99 of which are on display - that will be distributed by Dorcas House to new immigrants, but it's pretty cool right? Maybe because southern New England was the center of US cloth manufacture through the early-mid 20th century?) Ad for the Museum itself: the cultural component of this mill community is front and center. The space is set up in a number of immersive dioramas - rooms and areas visitors walk through to get an experience of those who lived there. The first stop is a farm cabin in Quebec in snowy winter where (push the doorbell) a family decides to move south in the hope of a better life working in the mills. In the replica of a French Canadian Catholic Church we read about religious life in America, and sit in pews near the actual mosaic altar boys to learn a bit about the wave of immigration and the mill worker experience, there's a credit union (kind of explains the Bailey Savings & Loan in It's a Wonderful Life). There's a school room, complete with a teacher/priest and books in the desks in French and English. On the stairs to the second floor, pass posters and stories about others groups of immigrants to the area, along with the rooms upstairs: Woonsocket baseball players, tenement houses, mill and factory memorabilia, and a room set up with the equipment workers toiled at. Oh - dint miss the display of a union hall! My daughter buzzes through art museums. We were here for about 2 hours. And then we got to the room with the blankets. Quite a relevant history lesson here!

Excellent service with a pleasant attitude. Will definitely be back. The room was relaxing, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Emily does a great job and is customer oriented.
Shane is very professional, from first contact thru completion of my session. My first time contacting Shane he listened to what I needed and asked all the right questions. During my session he explained what he was going to do to help me and checked in with me several times to make sure the pressure he was applying was good. When the session was done and I stood up I had no pain in my back for the first time in years. I will definitely be seeing Shane on a regular basis. I recommend anyone in pain to give him a call you will be surprised how good you will feel.
I am so happy with how my hair turned out. Adil trimmed my ends, dyed it back to my natural roots, cut long layers and finished with a beautiful blowout. My hair has never felt so healthy! She always goes above and beyond when it comes to her work. I will definitely be coming back.
They are amazing!!!! They had a challenge at this house and they did not disappoint. Super professional and on time. They brought all their own supplies. The before and after pics are astonishing. I will be recommending them to everyone I know!!

Fatou was such a good experience for getting my daughter’s hair done! I called her on Friday and she was able to do her consultation the next day. She offered to do her hair later that day but my daughter had all ready made prior obligations . These ladies were very friendly and SLAYDDDDDD my daughter’s hair! The price was reasonable, it did take a little time but it was well worth it! We will definitely be visiting her when it’s time for a retouch! Thanks Fatiu!

We rented a bounce house for my son's first birthday and I was so impressed with the company. From ordering, to day of they did such a good job. I made a mistake in the order but they were so understanding and accommodating. The bounce house was so clean and the kids had a blast. Can't wait to use Happy Bounce House again.
When you find a hairdresser who gets you – your style, your personality, your look and she makes you look like you just stepped out of a celebrity salon – you know you've found a unicorn…Lori has been working her magic on my hair for decades, and she somehow manages to make me look like I actually know what I'm doing with my hair. I constantly get compliments, and it's all thanks to her magic touch.

This is a hair salon for male and female. Very friendly staff. You can do your braids too. They do your rolos like it was a piece of art. Very recommended!
Just took my boys for the first time! Sky took my youngest and got him fresh with the quickest and Erico cleaned up my oldest. He used the blade to give him that crisp line up and had him leaving looking like a different kid!! Both my boys agreed that this is their new spot. Thanks guys
It was my first time at Don’s and it is an awesome establishment. A number of friends recommended don’s and it lived up to expectations. Really awesome service, incredibly nice owners and great/fast haircut!
Good barbers helped my figure out what I wanted to do with my hair quick an professional would definitely recommend coming here if you want a clean cut for a reasonable rate
Highly recommend this nail salon. The nail techs are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, it is a clean environment, large open space (some nails salons are cramped and squished in, not this one!) I got a pedicure and they fixed my nails that had been botched by another place. They look amazing now and I will be back for sure!
My daughter started going here a year ago and we absolutely love it! Ashley the Owner is so sweet and the entire environment is so welcoming. Lily does a great job with my daughter's hair while also making her feel comfortable in the chair since she's only 12. We highly recommend it!

Ashley is and will always be my go to for my hair. After trials with other stylists who charged hundreds of dollars for just botching and damaging my hair, I was left feeling defeated. Ashley will never do anything that she thinks will harm my hair. She isn’t afraid to tell me no and my hair has never looked better! If you are looking for someone who the knowledge and skills to make you feel great Ashley and her team are the place to go!
Five years in and Ashley and team are still rockstars! Go and try them out, you won’t be sorry you did!
Sandra is awesome she is right on point and does all she can for your hair. Best salon by far she does not disappoint. Love, Love, Love her! Thank you again, Sandra, Deanna

Lynn makes you feel right at home when you walk into Face La Vie! Lynn was great, she did my bridal trial on my bridal shower day so I could see how it would look in photos and what we needed to adjust for the big day. For my bridal make up she was able to make some changes that we found didn’t work or needed to be enhanced from our trial. I’m not a huge makeup wearer, so she walked me through each step and ensured I learned during the process and can now do simple home skincare to keep my skin looking it’s best!Service: Bridal services
This is the best Salon in Woonsocket guarantee you would love the hairstyle so go check it out at Salon Royale on social Street in Woonsocket you'll be very happy you went
Amazing experience! I am very happy with the result of my haircut! And the owner is wicked nice! For sure somewhere you should go to if you’re reading this review!

I love this place. I've been coming here for years. They do such an awesome job and have the best prices. Only downside is they only take walk ins but they also don't answer the phone and their hours aren't that great. When you live a distance and come to be told it's an hour or 2 wait and they might not be able to do what you want, it's quite discouraging.
Had such a wonderful experience with Emily, she took the time with my consultation and had awesome ideas on formulating my design. She really has a talent and eye for beautiful art. She made sure I was comfortable and was a pleasure to talk with during the tattoo experience. I highly, highly recommend her!!! Her daughter was also lovely once I arrived while awaiting my appointment. You simply cannot go wrong with this studio. These women are genuine artists!

We just installed a new GREE heating and AC heat pump combo through the Mass Save program with Bileau HVAC- John is very knowledgeable and personable. He explained everything to me and was extremely dedicated to getting the job done to my liking. Kathy in the office is extremely helpful and kind as well. I would 100% recommend them anyone in Rhode Island and Massachusetts! They are an exceptional company!

Family owned and have been in business for over 40+ years so they are very experienced. Every time I call, the staff are very friendly and offer to help at all times with answers to your questions. Highly recommended!
This is the best dentist office there is. I have never liked dentists. I feel like the comparison to going to the DMV is accurate however I have only ever had positive experiences at this office. Everyone on the staff is lovely and both David Ward and his daughter Samantha are wonderful. They are actual people and don't have any weird dentist vibes that you sometimes get. Moving out of state and having to get a new dentist has been the saddest thing. If it was possible to fly back just for dentist appointments here I would. You cannot go wrong with this office.

I have been treated here for a few years and cannot be more satisfied. A few weeks ago, I fell down some stairs at home, and Doctor Aragao made time to see me when I called. Not only are he and his staff very professional and friendly, but the care provided is simply outstanding! I would not hesitate to recommend treatment at either the Cumberland or Woonsocket locations. I have been to both.
