Let me start off by thanking R. E. Coogan Heating Inc.! My old inefficient gas converted boiler unit stoped working on Christmas Eve. After trying to replace a couple parts to no avail, I decided to call a couple local companies and without hesitation Robert Coogan started to get the ball rolling on helping my wife and I out. Within 2 days before the cold coming in, Robert and his guys took away my old boiler and hot water tank and replaced it with this fine Navien High Efficiency system. I can’t say enough about RE Coogan! Over the weekend, I lost my heat. I called several companies that advertise 24/7 Service. I either didn’t get a call back or I was told they don’t work on Saturday! Bob Coogan personally called me back. Although he was with his family, he took the time to call me and tried to help me solve the problem. When that didn’t work, he came to the house and restored heat. After restoring the heat, he checked the entire system to make sure that it was operating properly and I would have no further problems. I wont be going back.
I called Coogan Heating and told the woman who answered the phone (Jade I believe) that I had a boiler that was not starting and that I knew the pressure gauge was broken. Could someone come out and take a look? She mentioned a $275 minimum site visit. I asked if that was $275 to walk in the door or just a minimum spend for the work? She answered it was the latter.
Robert came by, nice guy, was at my house for about 45 minutes. Replaced the thermo coupler, got the unit fired up, did not fix the pressure gauge because he said it wasn’t necessary. He sees the second boiler (which is working perfectly) as... read full review
