My wife and I purchased a home in South Kingstown, RI in 2004 which we utilize in the summer and rent to URI students fall through spring. We have been working with Munroe Real Estate to secure tenants and manage the property for the past 18 years. Munroe has successfully screened tenants, collected rent payments and dealt with all property issues very successfully. Their contractor resources have resolved any repair issues promptly and for a fair cost. I highly recommend Munroe Realty.
I have been with Munroe Realty for 12 years. I have a 4 bedroom rental in Narragansett. Nancy Colby is the point person and has done a fabulous job. She handles all the rental contracts. I rent it to students during the school year and weekly during the summer months. I have had full occupancy 12 months a year since I’ve been with them. She is very responsive to me and to the tenants. I have been very satisfied with her efforts and with the agency.
Monroe has handled my rental for about 17 years so, the fact that I am still with them speaks for itself. They have worked with me to make sure that I have the kind of renters I prefer--generally longer term. They have managed upgrades to the house as well as major work required, in one case because of water damage and in another to obtain a lead abatement certificate; this in addition to dealing with the day-to-day issues, which arise in an older house. What I particularly appreciate is that, after working together for a while, they are aware of the issues on which I want to be consulted and those that they can handle without my involvement.
