Sears Air Duct Cleaning Services is a totally unprofessional service. Scheduled a duct and dryer cleaning service with a two week window for service. When I connected to confirm the scheduled appointment a day ahead of schedule, it was shared that they attempted to reach out, however, unable to reach me. No record of missed call(s), or voice messages from any part of their service. No explanation given that they would not be available for services, and the next available appointment was two weeks from the scheduled appointment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on an unprofessional service operation. Supervisor suggested connecting with a BETTER duct cleaning service so obviously they are aware of their lack of customer service, and professionalism!! NO VALUE HERE!! In fact, would rate 0 stars if available.

This company is not a reputable business!!! This is my experience as briefly as I can put it. 1. They asked for a credit card before the service was performed and it is three months after the duct cleaning and related services and I have not received a refund for a documented overcharge. That is the least of my issues.. 2. When Sears Duct Cleaning completed the services, I asked if my air conditioner was up and running. The technician said yes. Ten minutes later I realized it wasn't. The outside weather was over 90 degrees and code orange for air quality. I have lung disease. I called immediately to ask them to come back and fix the air-conditioning. I finally got a manager. He said he would try to get someone to fix it and if I found someone to come out and fix it that evening he would pay for it. I found someone to fix it that evening. The problem was a wire which communicates between the controller and the AC unit was disconnected during the service. I have not been reimbursed those charges. 3. A month and a half later the AC failed again. The technician who repaired it discovered, after hours of troubleshooting, that the same wire was broken within the walls. He had to run a new wire. He also found during the troubleshooting that the filter was clogged with large pieces of dirt. This clogging occurred during the one and half months since the duct cleaning (see picture) !!!! He also stated that there was no indication that the coils had be cleaned, which was part of the contract. I also had other services performed on the supposedly cleaned ducts, bacterial etc. How can you perform and charge someone for those extra services when you haven't cleaned the ducts!!! I also had the dryer duct cleaned and just recently when I was outside smelled a strange odor like a smothering fire! Now I am wondering if they even cleaned the dryer vent. All this cost me over $1,700, plus two AC repairs. 4. I have been calling Sears Duct Cleaning for a couple of months now. I also provided them with all the information on the service performed and my complaints as they request. I cannot get the complaint resolved. They will not even refund the overcharge which is shown on the bill or pay for the AC repair which the "manager" told me they would on the evening of the service!!! Basically no service was performed except the cleaning of the furnace, which if it weren't performed would be visible. I am out over $2,500 and except for the clean furnace have nothing to show for it. I am an elderly woman with lung disease and and some point will need to spend more money for someone to actually clean the ducts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SEARS is not what it used to be.

Waited 5 hours for my carpet cleaning appointment service window of 12:00-5:00. They never showed, even though they called me that morning to confirm appointment. I called them and was told they would find out where my technician was and call me right back. Never called me back. No explanation or apology. I went with Sears because they were less expensive than Stanley Steamer, but less expensive is no good when you get no service. Will never make that mistake again.

Paid $200 for the 10 air vents to be cleaned, which was advertised off their website. The technician shows up and said this didn't include cleaning the furnace system and that would be another $800, so $1060 total. When I asked others what they paid for the same services, most said half that. Disappointing....

Inappropriate Behavior and Lacking Customer Service May 15, 2023 Due to Maurice, Sears Home Services Customer Support Manager's seemingly refusal to respond to my email dated May 1, 2023, along with subsequent messages left with a Sears Home Services' call taker, emails, text messages, and voicemails. Greetings Maurice, I tried for several weeks to have Sears Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning replace two UV lights (under a lifetime warranty with attached receipt embedded in the email). However, there have been delays and concerns that have surfaced. My first appointment was scheduled for April 11, 2023 (1-5pm). I received a call from what I believe was from your number (703-887-4851), stating that the bulbs were not in stock and a subsequent appointment for April 14th (2-4pm) was agreed upon. However, the technician did not show up at which time I text this information to 703-887-4851, to make you aware of the "no show." I contacted Sears again to set up another appointment for April 21, 2023. The technician (Marcus H.) arrived with one UV light instead of two and asked to return later that evening or the next day....stating it would better to work through him instead of the Sears. I contacted Sears while Marcus was at my front door explaining the situation 866-881-2743. There was no resolution, except for Marcus leaving the one UV light with me for the next visit. I again scheduled another appointment to have the UV lights replaced today (May 1, 2023, 9-12pm). In the meantime, I contacted Edwardo or Eduardo (Marcus' supervisor) on April 27th asking him not to send Marcus to the appointment, to please send out another technician. Edwardo apologized for the miscommunication with the scheduling, and I was told that another technician would be sent out. This morning, I received a call that the technician was on his way. To my dismay a technician (Marcus) arrived, and I asked him was he the same technician from last week. He replied that he was. I explained that I did not want him in my home. Standing at my front door, Marcus crossed my home's threshold, walked pass me and into my living room (without my permission to enter my home) and said that he was here for the UV light and grabbed the light from my couch. I contacted the earlier phone number used this morning that stated that the technician was on his way. I calmly explained why I did not want Marcus in my home, unaware I was speaking with Marcus. Needless to say, Marcus did not appreciate my comments and disconnected from the phone call mid-sentence while explaining today's events. This is when I realized that the person, I was talking to was Marcus... The Sears truck was still parked outside of my home. The Sears truck left. Consequently, I left a voicemail with Edwardo explaining the events. I contacted Edwardo again and spoke directly to him about the events that just took place in my home. Being Marcus' supervisor I am disappointment in Edwardo, who should have honored my boundary and mitigated the circumstance by not sending Marcus or at the very least having enough respect for the consumer by contacting me to make me aware that Marcus would be the technician...and not one time did Edwardo even ask for the reason why I did not want Marcus to return to my home....Edwardo only made excuses, even after I volunteer the reasons. With all of this said, the initial reason that I did not want Marcus in my home was that he was unprofessional, he seemed chaotic in blaming everyone for the miscommunication of him arriving at my home with one UV light instead of two on April 11th, avoided direct eye contact, his eyes were darting around to include my chest area....unprofessional. Again, being Marcus' supervisor, I am disappointment in Edwardo, who should have honored my boundary and mitigated the circumstance by not sending Marcus or at the very least having enough respect for the consumer by contacting me to make me aware that Marcus would be the technician. I was informed that Marcus was the technician who initially installed the l

STAY AWAY! WASTE OF TIME I scheduled my duct cleaning for a Tuesday, Sears changed my appointment date to Thursday. On the day they were meant to show up, the technician called me and said I couldn't get the $99 special and it was going to be at least $1,400. After that he didn't show up. Sears said they would send a new technician on Friday. They were a no-show too. When they finally showed up on Saturday, the technician inspected the system, said he was going outside to "call the office" and then disappeared. I did not hear from them after that. USELESS. A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF TIME!
