This is the first time I am old enough to have been part of a funeral home process. My father passed away a week and a day before writing this. The staff at Skeffington Funeral Home were just amazing. They went above and beyond for my friend who had no surviving family and no means to be buried in a proper cemetery with a name on her marker. Jim insisted we give her a proper and dignified burial after hearing her life story as it was a difficult one for her. He went out of his way to speak with the deacon of St. Patrick’s Historical Cemetery who donated his services as well as a plot for her. Jim donated his services along with a beautiful cherry casket. Skeffington Funeral, and specifically Jim, helped my family organize a funeral for the sudden passing of my brother.
