Drs Barr Philip DDS and Katharine Burton DMD

I went to Dr. Barr when I moved to Providence many years ago because he was close to home and work, and just stayed because I never had a reason to leave. and everyone was friendly and competent. Over the years I came to appreciate that reliability, and Dr. Barr was always a great professional. I should have written a five-star review a long time ago, not that the office would have needed it. The practice was sold recently to someone called Katherine Burton, who I've never seen. I have seen one of the other Dentists there, who is young and eager and seems knowledgeable. After re-reading my previous review, and having had ten years' worth of a few other dentists, I wanted to go back and give Dr Barr the full five stars. (He said he installed a chair lift but I seriously think he is joking). I'm now living in South County - like the other end of the earth from Phil Barr's office!! That, and the yucky stairs will probably keep me with my current SoCo dentist. HOWEVER, I really miss Dr Barr - both for his hugely delightful "chairside" manner. But, more important, for his excellent skills as a dentist. Leaving off a star has haunted me :-) for a long time so I just wanted to come back here and correct my error. I’ve been to Dr Barr’s practice 1-2 times per year for the last 5 or so years. I’m writing this review today because even if Dr Barr doesn’t actually remember who I am when I come in, I always leave feeling like he does. Today he did a simple and quick procedure that was completely cosmetic, but made it feel like the only appt. on his schedule. Even though I was completely content he asked several times if I was doing okay and even took at minute or two set up a really funny joke. His staff is always friendly and professional - I always leave feeling cared for.
