This place is great for riding lessons! Ingrid (my main instructor) and Kami (owner) are super patient and very kind. It has been a long time since being back in the saddle for me, and Ingrid has made me feel more confident with each lesson. They offer both English and Western lessons, and the horses are very well-behaved and healthy. I highly recommend coming here!
Five-Star Experience for First-Time Riders!
We visit Newport every year for the Seafood Festival and usually spend our time around Bowen’s Wharf, but this year we wanted to try something new, and I am so glad we did! Neither of us had much (or any!) riding experience, and I was especially nervous since I had never been on a horse before.
Our guide, Annabelle, was absolutely incredible. She immediately made me feel safe and supported. Calm, soothing, and patient, she gave clear instructions and could sense when I was uneasy. Stacy was so great to work with. She was accommodating to my needs and checked in to make sure we were having fun. I have experience riding horses but the person I was with does not and it would’ve been helpful if the owner of or whoever was in charge explain some things about riding a horse.
