AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care has earned a reputation for trusted expertise in automotive services. For over 50 years, the locally owned and independent service centers have used the latest technology and skilled technicians to diagnose, fix, and back their work with a nationwide warranty. Customers often turn to AAMCO for transmission repairs, tune-ups, and other vehicle services, knowing they will receive reliable care. In the East Greenwich and Warwick areas, customers praise AAMCO's excellent service, highlighting their responsiveness, quality work, and fair prices. The store is described as a "great country style American" place that offers a wide range of farm and home supplies. One customer was especially impressed with the care and efficiency received for their Lexus GX460, even though the repair bill was significant. Recent reviews also mention how Scott, a staff member, was very accommodating when a customer's 2011 Silverado's transmission failed during vacation. He expedited the replacement, found and fixed a broken motor mount, and even offered to deliver the vehicle back to Massachusetts. Another reviewer noted that the new management is attentive, providing fair estimates and smooth service. Customers appreciate the affordable oil change and air filter service, although some warn that AAMCO is mainly for routine maintenance and not suitable for severe repairs. Overall, AAMCO remains a trusted name for comprehensive automotive care, especially known for their trustworthy transmission work.
Scott was most accommodating when our 2011 Silverado's transmission decided to call it quits while on vacation.
He expedited the replacement as soon as parts became available and even discovered a broken motor mount and replaced that for us too.
He even offered to deliver it back to Massachusetts for us! Great customer service! ☆☆☆☆☆
Scott was great, oil change and air filter at a great price.
The people with one star reviews: if your car has severe issues, you don't have it fixed at Aamco!!! They are basically a Jiffy Lube. Don't blame your own stupidity on a business that mainly does routine maintenance jobs.
Talked to the owner while I was getting a tire patched, very nice guy. He said the shop is under new management, and he’s been working hard to get the shop up and going again. Tire patch took all of 5 minutes
