We did business with Me Bonnichon, for the purchase of a house. She made a mistake of $4300 on the assessment of the transfer tax on the purchase of our property. The amount she gave us during the review of the transaction did not match the calculation we had done on our end, so we asked her to verify. After verification, she reconfirmed the lower amount of $4300. This same amount was indicated in the sales contract. Of course, once the city's account arrived, we found that it had made a mistake and we had to find $4,300 more to pay our rights. We tried repeatedly to reach her by phone, leaving messages at reception, on voicemail and via multiple emails and she ignored us for weeks. Avoid this office if you don't want to have bad surprises or if you want to be treated with respect when their "professional" notaries make mistakes in your files. A simple apology from the start would have been enough!
