“I recently worked with Fine & Flux Jewelry to create a custom memorial moi & toi ring for my two beloved cats, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Losing them after so many years together (more than half my life) was devastating, and I wanted something meaningful that reflected our bond, and not a typical urn or paw print keepsake that I kept seeing in my online searches. While those options may be beautiful and perfect for many people, it just didn’t seem right for me, and not quite to my tastes or feelings. I wanted something that better reflected my gratitude for so many beautiful memories…not just a sad/bittersweet reminder, even if I currently am very much grieving.
Dominique was amazing to work with! From the very first message, she was incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful. She listened patiently to my half-baked ideas, refined them, and worked with me through multiple design conversations until my ring felt balanced and perfect. The final piece perfectly incorporated their fur, engraved names, and chosen stones inspired by the colors of their eyes, creating a personal, discreet, and one-of-a-kind keepsake I’ll treasure forever. It was so much more than anything I could have envisioned!
What really impressed me the most was the level of care and communication throughout the entire process. Dominique clearly understands how much trust is involved when creating memorial jewelry, and she treats that responsibility with so much respect and sensitivity. The video showing the fur being placed into the setting was also incredibly meaningful — and honestly reassuring, because the final piece is so seamless you’d never guess it was there! The entire experience itself ended up being surprisingly cathartic, and I never expected commissioning bespoke jewelry to feel so special or fun, but it truly did. It was a very welcome distraction, and I felt pretty at peace when my ring arrived. This is such a great gift you have given me…this ring feels like the perfect closing chapter to a very special part of my life, and I STILL can’t believe how insanely fast the turnaround time was! You guys are wizards, and I can’t thank you enough!
