About Ofuro Station Zen
Ofuro Station Zen is a peaceful and relaxing spa destination set in a natural environment. The establishment offers several baths and saunas, with three different thermal pools that have varying temperature controls. Located away from traffic noise, the spa is surrounded by mountains, trees, and a beautiful stream flowing through the hills, which visitors can enjoy by taking a dip. The water in the pools is well maintained, and water stations are provided for guests since the water is not drinkable. The property is currently undergoing renovations, including updates and a new sauna, with more improvements planned. Despite some infrastructure needing renovation and the property showing signs of neglect, guests still find the atmosphere very quiet and soothing. The open baths continue to provide a magical experience, complemented by stunning views of the river and natural waterfall. Guests have praised the friendly staff who offer helpful suggestions for pampering and making the stay more enjoyable. Many visitors appreciate the calm atmosphere, especially during weekdays when the spa is very quiet. The rooms are comfortable, some with Jacuzzis, and the management has recently improved, making guests feel more welcomed. Visitors also enjoy the nutritious breakfast with some variety each day. While the spa has experienced some changes since the pandemic, it remains a highly recommended spot for those seeking relaxation and tranquility. The ongoing renovations aim to restore and enhance its natural beauty and comfort, making it a favorite for many who appreciate the peaceful environment and beautiful surroundings.
I really enjoyed going to the spa and can totally recommend it. It’s one of the most grounded and down to earth spas I’ve been to in Quebec. It’s relaxed, the nature is gorgeous, the pools and saunas are wonderful, the buildings are gorgeous, the relaxation spaces are cozy. It’s also more affordable than other spas around. Would definitely come again!
The one feedback I have is that it would be great to have hair dryers!
We have visited this Spa 2 years in a row now in mid-March. It is a place where you can actually relax. I find other larger spas more of a social gathering and too loud to really relax. I like being surrounded by nature as you walk from steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, cold plunges, and relaxation rooms. Check their website for promotions as they often offer great deals and packages, last year they had a valentines deal and this time we went on a couples deal. Also they put up notices on the website, like if their restaurant is closed and they will allow you to bring your own food in that case.
Spent the night there with my wife.
The spa is always fantastic. But the real benefit is when you stay overnight. You practically have to spa to yourself.
The room was very appealing and very quiet at night.
I will be returning there again.
