The ER Department has the best care in Montreal. The staff is unbelievably professional....and attentive. You don't feel like you are a just a number on a production line.....as for the wait times, we can't fault them for this, that's our pathetic provincial government, (our wait times in Quebec are the worst in all of Canada) but I digress, St.
Mary's Hospital.... I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I gave birth at St. Mary’s for both of my pregnancies. From all the blood tests, gestational diabetes follow-ups at the womens clinic, to labour and recovery, I honestly have to say my recent experience was even better than the first time!
I would definitely recommend giving birth at St. Mary’s, mainly because of the doctors and nurses. A special shoutout to the labour and postpartum nurses, they were honestly amazing!
St. Mary’s is very breastfeeding forward, but if you choose not to breastfeed or aren’t able to, about 98% of the staff are supportive and helpful with expressing and formula feeding now. That was a huuge and very positive change compared...read full review
Highly recommend St Mary’s hospital to anyone who will listen. It’s my go-to ER and I’ve always had a good experience there (as far as ER visits can go). I ended up having to have knee surgery there this past summer, for which the process was very good! Kind nurses and doctors the whole time :) They are extremely bilingual there which is a plus with Quebec’s language laws surrounding healthcare.
