“I just want to thank you for delivering our beautiful message to my Papa and his beautiful photo on his headstone. You gave my dad what he deserved and it was beautiful. Wonderful service, a lifetime of thank you!”
“My mother had wisely prearranged everything with Kane & Fetterly. Shena was very supportive and efficient. Mom’s casket and floral spray were exactly as she would have wished.”
“Today, we laid my brother to rest at Rideau Funeral Home & Cemetery, where four generations of our family are now buried. My great-grandmother was the first in 1972, followed by my grandmother and grandfather, my mother and father, and now my brother.
We felt exceptionally well cared for throughout the day. Bob made sure that everything went smoothly and that our family had everything we needed. He arranged the chairs and thoughtfully set up a podium so that I could place my phone there and read my brother’s eulogy. He also helped us carry the urn to the gravesite and supported us with kindness and calm at every step.
Bob read the poem “The Dash,” about the meaning of the dash between the dates of our birth and death—and how what truly matters is the way we live, love, and treat one another during that time. It was deeply moving and perfectly suited to the day.
Thank you, Bob, and everyone at Rideau Funeral Home & Cemetery: especially Mr. Adal, Alexandre and Claire, for treating our family and my brother with such dignity, compassion, and care during an incredibly difficult time.”
