Dishonest, very rude. Was asking 2k to fix muffler?!!

Consistent with other review. Following an inspection I did for the muffler, I noted that there was a socketed welded joint that had cracked directly on the weld and broken off (very repairable. Its a stainless steel muffler that is in good condition otherwise). They told me on the phone they can repair that, its 55$ for the (mandatory) inspection and 65$ for welding, and no problem welding stainless. In the end, I didn't drop off the car myself, and so I wasn't there to challenge them. They said that the muffler was pierced and there was no point in welding it back. I called afterwards and they confirmed they could have welded it back if it wasn't that the muffler was pierced. I did another inspection of my muffler myself and confirmed it had no holes. Probably that a 65$ weld isn't enough for them, so, since the customer is paying, they rather replace the entire thing for 1600$. Thieves. Such an easy job that could've turned me into a returning customer rather than stealing 55$ for a useless inspection and getting a bad review.
Follow-up: found a shop that did the work for 140$.

Awful and extremely dishonest. A my partner had the unfortunate experience of doing buisness with this garage. The car was left for a week at the garage. When she returned the owner said that it was not fixed but that she owed him $1000 for the diagnostics.
Avoid this thief at all costs.

They quoted a repair at $6000!!! On my wife’s noisy CRV. I brought it to an independent who fixed the exact problem for $75 dishonest. Dishonest. Dishonest.

This is the worst experience I ever had in my life. My car had some noises and brought to this place, they even gave me the estimate of 3000 dollars. I have to pay 100 dollar for checking, while other garage is free for checking. I let my friend to check, the brake disk is good, does not need to replace. This place is a robber and a criminal, did not go back. It really sucks

Very very disappointed, I thought it was people I could trust, I'm talking about the branch on St Joseph in Gatineau. But you always have to look for another garage to trust, incompetent people are crossers. Sorry but it's the truth Is crazy prices

Be very ‼️ careful ‼️ with this mechanic. Have it checked that your parts have actually been changed. Review your invoices and get a second opinion!!! It took me too long to realize my mistakes. Proceed with caution. Branch located in Gatineau on St Joseph Boulevard.

Don't take your car here. They overcharge and I feel deceived. Got a quote to replace a muffler for $1,600.
