I cannot give enough praise to this facility! Last year I found myself in a tough situation and made an appointment to get an abortion. I was so scared, anxious and guilty driving to my appointment. When I arrived two very sweet wOman came to my car and told me they would escort me inside because there were protesters.( mind you this beginning of January so it was freezing out !) They walked with their arms around me complementing my Stanley cup so I wouldn’t hear what the protesters were yelling at me . It was freezing out but their kindness filled me with warmth . I’ve consistently had friendly and compassionate experiences at Planned Parenthood - York Health Center. Before I was able to afford birth control through my doctor’s office, this was my go-to for reliable, affordable care. The staff has always been kind, supportive, and genuinely helpful. I’ve never felt judged — only respected and cared for.
It’s true that there are often protesters outside who can be loud and intimidating. However, there are also dedicated volunteers who stand outside to help walk patients in and provide reassurance. A lady escorted me inside as a man was in my face harassing me at the door. i was getting my nexplanon removed i was very nervous, super friendly staff. Doctor was quick and efficient.
