“This barbershop is truly one of Old City’s gems. The service, the vibe, the execution has always been on point.

Rob has been my primary barber and the first time I sat in his chair, he asked me the kinds of questions a stylist has never asked. I let him know and he said it’s important for him to understand his client and their needs in a haircut. He not only asked the right questions but also gave his expert feedback on styles or cuts that I was considering.

Almost two years later, I’ve never felt let down and still continue to leave the shop feeling great about myself.

And to top it off, the front desk is ALWAYS extremely welcoming, friendly, hospitable, and I always leave with a smile and a laugh!

“I've been by here 4 times now. I got 1 good haircut, 2 GREAT haircuts, and 1 really really bad haircut. Bruno, the owner, gave me a pretty good haircut my first visit, good enough to make me go back. 2nd visit, Charlie cut my hair. Phenomenal cut! Charlie is very attentive and thorough. Final lines are straight as an arrow, and sides are balanced. 3rd cut, yeah......the lady on the front left chair took me because Charlie was leaving for the day. Without exaggeration the worst haircut of my life. I had to go buy a hat to cover it up while it grew back in, and I HATE wearing hats. 4th visit was back to Charlie and was not disappointed. Bruno and Charlie get 5 stars, but gotta subtract one for the bad cut day. Word of advice for Mr. Bruno......ditch the dame. She will hurt your business. If that had been my first cut there, I would NOT have come back.“

I recently visited tru Deja vu and I have to say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean, with a modern yet comfortable vibe. The staff is friendly and professional, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door.

My barber, Danny was incredibly skilled. They took the time to really listen to what I wanted and offered expert advice on what would work best for my hair type and face shape. The attention to detail was impressive—no rush, just precision.

The haircut itself was flawless, and I left feeling confident and fresh. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of service provided, and I love that they offer a variety of grooming services, from haircuts to shaves. The shop also has a great selection of hair products that are perfect for maintaining my new look.

We spent time talking and looking at inspiration pictures so she had a clear idea of what I wanted. I couldn’t have been happier with the results. I also really liked the salon, very clean, and the owner came down and checked on us as well. I will definitely be going back, so glad I found Smadi!“

“I've gone here for haircuts and only had them done by Noorie. She is always ready on time, easygoing, and does a great job. She's used both the clippers and scissors to give me a great cut that I receive many compliments on. The place is clean and plays '70's rock at a decibel level that allows enjoyment of the music if you want a quiet cut yet also the ability to have a conversation without struggling to listen. After trying a few places in Roxborough and Manayunk, it's the place that I choose to go for my haircuts.“
