Based on the reviews, Haven Behavioral Hospital of West Chester and Outpatient Wellness Center is a place to go for help with mental health. The hospital is bright and clean with large bedrooms and many rooms for groups. The food is fresh and very good. The workers are knowledgeable, kind, and not judgemental. They always say hello and are available to help with questions or when patients have episodes. The groups on the hospital side and outpatient are very helpful. The staff works hard to make sure every person is comfortable and treated with 100% care. Upon entering the outpatient building, people are greeted with care. The staff helps patients find their smile again and feel human. This is not a place for a retreat, but for becoming a true, loving human. The mission is to start basic so people can build back to normal. While some reviews mention negative experiences with mental health staff elsewhere, this location is described as having workers who are hard working and loving beyond all means. Love won.
Poor communication with family. Questionable competency of staff sending in prescriptions on discharge. The pharmacy needed complete information and never received it. I made 6 phone calls to the facility to get this resolved with no result. Do not recommend.
I've not been over to Haven in WC just yet. But I'm not surprised to find negative reviews. MH staff suck anywhere . They come to gossip and add mockery. I'm so hesitant with past experiences.... I'm dreading coming over. I really am CC MH services are horrible the hospitals are worse . And staff? Most a just cold. They are there for us at all.
The past 10 days of my life have been a roller coaster. Not sure I was going to make it at times but I did! I cannot be more thankful for all of the people in this hospital. I know I am not done with my journey (ms P told me that), but I am feeling better then before I was admitted and I have learned a lot about myself. I never in my life thought I would have gone to a hospital for my mental health but I guess thats life. I went from being terrified of the unknown to feeling like god led me to Haven. I couldn't have asked to be treated by kinder people. Everyone made me feel human and helped me back on my feet. Thank you for getting me back home to my family!
