I saw them out there and had an issue with mine that I wanted to get checked out, and they offered to take a look for me! They assessed the whole roof, sent me pictures and video, and then the owner Jim took the time himself to call me and explain the situation. Jim was very knowledgeable and honest—he didn’t try to push unnecessary work and they provided me with a very affordable quote compared to what I estimated based on my own research. When they did the roof work, they were very efficient and clean! Again, they sent updated pictures and videos and Jim spoke to me directly again about the updates. “Although I was a little skeptical in the beginning, I have to honestly say as a 35 year contractor in the electrical business Northstar roofing and siding is absolutely accompany worth doing business with.I was a little skeptical at first because their business model is one of a general contractor employing crews that work under their direction.We are extremely pleased with the end results of a fairly complex project. Our project included an entire rip off of our main roof as well as two outline structures. We also replaced all of the gutters all of the skylights and areas of the roof that were visible to the street we upgraded to New steel roofing.Overall, I estimate I spent a bit north of $70,000 with NorthstarSome months later, we had our master bathroom renovated by a different contractor and this contractor chose to vent the bathroom fan by making a hole in our newly installed roof. When we had the 4 inches of rain a few weeks ago I woke to a drip and huge puddle in my brand new new $40,000 bathroom renovation.I really didn’t know where the water was coming in. I called Jeff, the owner of Northstar roofing and regardless that he did not make the penetration nor was the leak his responsibility. He mobilized an entire team, including himself that were at my house on a Saturday at 7:30 in the morning in a rain and wind.Rather than point fingers they took ownership even when they didn’t really have to! the whole crew, including the owner was up on my roof in absolutely terrible conditions fixing the leak caused by the bathroom contractors shoddy work.“

“I have called Joe Cochrane to my home several times over the last 3 years since I bought this house. He has always responded in a timely manner to my phone calls and repair needs. Previous to tornado Ida, he repaired the flashing around my chimney that was allowing water to damage a wall inside the house. He also installed leaf protectors on my drain pipes. After tornado Ida, he answered my call immediately and worked to protect any further damage from occurring and then repaired the roof. “I have a large home with a pool house, covered porch, breezeway and shed. Hip roof, shed dormer(s) and gables are all there, along with a pretty steep pitch. Valtz roofing was my third estimate and I went with them because of a strong referral from a relative and their price. I was flexible and told them they could replace the roof at their convenience. I dealt with Katie in the office who answered the phone and responded to all my emails. This month I got a call that I was on the schedule and a dumpster would be delivered. After the dumpster came the crew and materials. For three days there were five guys all over my roofs like spider monkeys jacked up on Mountain Dew. They did as good a job as anyone at a better price than anyone. I thought after they left I would have to pick up nails and roof pieces but at most there was only a pocket full of stuff. I am very satisfied with Valtz Roofing and wish every contractor did business the way they do.Service: Roof installation“
