About University Health Services
University Health Services is a highly-regarded doctor's office that provides exceptional care to its patients. The providers are kind, take time to listen, and offer a wide range of services, including bloodwork, IUD insertions, and x-rays. Scheduling appointments is easy, with many time slots available online or through the advice nurse's line. The staff, including doctors and nurses, are super nice and make appointments easy and stress-free. While some front desk staff may not be as friendly, the overall atmosphere is welcoming. However, the pharmacy has had some issues with incorrect medication and communication, which needs improvement.
I’ve been to UHS at least 20 times the past two years. Every single staff member has been extremely kind and helpful. Every nurse took the time to help addressing my needs, very kindhearted and patient people. And the doctors have always tried their best and hardest to get to the root of the problems. Even the pharmacists are lovely!!! I highly recommend
I have had a consistently great experience with UHS at Penn State. Dr. Cardinale has been excellent with general health concerns and medication prescriptions - knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in patient care. Dr. Donahue's OMT treatments have also been incredibly helpful and effective. The nurses are always kind, supportive, and make visits feel comfortable, and the entire staff is efficient and well-organized. Scheduling appointments is straightforward and convenient, which makes a huge difference as a student. Overall, a very high-quality, patient-centered experience.
I was surprised to see such a low rating, my experience with the doctors, nurses or any staff member has always been excellent. Everyone is very helpful, kind and diligent in the work they do. Yes, the pharmacy may not be as fast as other pharmacies in town, but it’s because they’re the busiest, so keep that in mind.
