New Roof! Crew was professional, courteous and respectful of our property. Roof is beautiful and beyond our expectations. Clean-up was also superb, no debris, screws, etc left on lawn, driveway or patio.

Our goal being in our early 60’s, we want this to be the last roof that we replace.We compared quotes from 8 different local roofing companies before deciding to go with Martin Exteriors. Most of the other companies claimed that standard GAF Timberline HDZ shingles combined with at least 3 GAF components would guarantee a 50-year roof. Dustin Martin reasoned with us to be cautious about that claim, considering manufacturing defects and depreciation over time. Dustin reasoned that by using the thickest Ultra HDZ shingle, along with the other GAF components it would truly give us a 50-year roof.Most of the other companies sent out a salesman, and sub-contracted the actual work using non-local crews. They also claimed the job would be finished in 1-2 days maximum. We are so glad we went with Martin Exteriors, because they said from the beginning the job would take 4 days, using a crew of around 5 local men who work together every day. These men were outstanding in their craftsmanship and integrity as individuals, no foul language, no loud music, no cigarette butts, no cursing and screaming. They worked from 7am to as late as 6pm, with thorough clean-up each day.Dustin discovered that the root cause of our roof’s need of replacement was because for 25 years the attic insulation had been stuffed tightly into the soffit bays, blocking any airflow, which created a humidity trap, leading to rotten plywood and rusty nails. Dustin is the salesman and owner but was also the foreman on the job. He suggested removing the bottom two feet of plywood to expose the insulation, push it back where it should have been in the first place, thus opening the airway for the soffit and ridge vent to work properly. He then replaced, not only the two-foot strips, but added another 60 sheets, over the compromised plywood. Now that the airflow problem is solved, he laminated the plywood in place, to minimize disturbance to the trusses, and create a solid 1-inch-thick roof deck, safely secured to the trusses. For a very reasonable additional price, Martin Exteriors also cleaned out, shored up, repaired existing gutter, and installed new gutter guard, not only on the entire 5000+ sg. ft. house roof, but also an additional approximately 150’ of gutter on our shop roof. They also replaced 4 skylights with new high-quality ones, and repaired and replaced damaged siding, and all of the drip edge, to look like new.All of the above, and much more, even significantly reducing the originally quoted estimate for the possible unexpected repairs, our final cost, with the extras, and a transferrable warranty from GAF, was $100,000 less than what we were originally quoted from the first salesman, just for a roof alone!We feel very fortunate that we ‘stumbled upon’ Martin Exteriors and highly recommend them for their integrity, craftsmanship, and honesty.

Our standing seam metal roof was installed just over 1 year ago. I’m ashamed that it took me till now to review here. I did on my personal pages though.
Roof, gutter, staff, cleanliness, completeness. Excellent all the way around. Very competitively priced as well.
