In September 2023, my wife Barbara and I decided it was finally time to update our outdated kitchen. After reading many reviews, we contacted three highly-rated contractors in the Lancaster, PA area for their solutions and quotes.
Our requirements included:
* New cabinets
* Replacing our tile floor
* New countertops
* New patio door
* Remodeling an adjacent powder room
* A solution for a difficult-to-reach cabinet
* Painting
After careful consideration, we chose Lancaster Kitchens and Baths (LKB) in Salunga, PA. Steve Reed, our salesperson and project manager, impressed us with his enthusiasm and can-do attitude, working within our modest budget. The other vendors either exceeded our budget or didn't fully address our needs.
Steve also identified a critical plumbing issue in our home, built in 1995, which had Quest plumbing known to be unreliable. Including the plumbing repair in our remodel was a tough but necessary decision.
Steve’s team provided a beautiful and functional kitchen design. They were flexible with our specific requests, including:
* Darker lower cabinets and lighter upper cabinets
* A half-moon pull-out for a blind corner cabinet
* Purchasing our own powder room vanity, mirror, cabinet handles, and pulls
* Adding stainless steel wall plates, a patio door with built-in blinds, and additional design elements to the backsplash
* Installing our chosen fixtures and a quartz countertop
Work began on 12/7/2023 and was completed on 1/11/2024, right on schedule despite the holidays. The final result is stunning, with superb craftsmanship. Kudos to Steve, Seth, “Farmer,” Blaine, and Anthony for their excellent work. We highly recommend LKB for anyone looking to remodel their kitchen.

It has been many many moons ago...in fact shortly after he opened his own place..knew of his reputation for meticulous, professional work and did the work like it was his truck going down the road, I had some tuning issues with. 3406E 1LW 475hp....lol I called him from Middletown PA passing thru, he said whip the old girl in the shop, within a few hours, we had everything hooked up, set up, tuned up, and whooaaaa doggie, she purred right along with no issues, no complaints, walked by anyone I wished with that &@$? eatin grin and from an owner/operator saying that as my own driver..hope he has been well and I’m sending him a friend of mine this evening, or first thing if we miss him..Great work, informative, awesome guys
