My family is incredbly grateful for the kind, compassionate and professional care we received from Tara and the staff at Fluehr when our mother passed away. From our first call, to visitation through all the follow up, Tara handled every interaction with love, as if she were dealing with her own family member. The whole staff was wonderful and responsive.
They took great care in preparing our mom for burial according to our wishes, down to the last detail. Her out of state burial was handled seamlessly which gave us great comfort. Incredibly rude staff that has no empathy during a difficult time. I called and asked for a better understanding on some of their line items as I am not in the funeral business and these items were confusing. Woman on the phone was so aggressive towards me and said “the cost is the cost they’re not negotiable not sure what else I can explain to you” and was frankly horrific for someone who is supposed to work in a business where people are losing loved ones. Disgusted by their customer service.

Joseph Fluehr IV is one of the kindest, and most genuine and patient people! During this difficult and stressful time, Joe took time explaining the steps and timeline to me and listening to my concerns. He provided the much needed guidance while we were overwhelmed with the daunting task of selecting a cemetery, planning the interment and selecting a monument. He made everything feel smooth and seamless. I feel especially thankful that he led the interment for my grandparents to ease my mind. I have worked with other funeral homes before, and I wish every funeral home were like Fluehr. Lastly, their statement is very clear and transparent. My Mother in Law recently passed away and we called the New Britain office at 3am. Joe Fluehr IV was at her bedside with us within an hour. It was amazing and wonderful. We then met later that day to discuss her services. He made it a really good experience. He was patient, caring and did not push anything we didn't want.
