The plumber had the pipe problem sorted in a little over an hour, which was a decent amount of time considering how hard it was to get to the spot behind a wall. He found a little crack that was slowly leaking, and replaced that section with very little mess to the rest of the sinks.
I watched the plumber spend an hour installing our old toilet, explaining each step and meticulously checking for leaks once he was done with the installation. This was more thorough than the last service we had a couple of years ago.
