The stylists are well trained and skilled to cater to any texture, keeping up with education and trendiest styling techniques. Guests feel welcome in the space created by the team. The team is kind and invested in improving their craft to support all types of hair and textures. Many clients have had positive experiences, with some noting that the stylists have transformed their hair and provided beautiful styles, such as curly cuts and silk presses. The studio has a beautiful space and the team is committed to providing an inclusive and empowering experience for clients. However, one client had a negative experience with a stylist who was not able to perform a specific service. Overall, Rooted Hair Studio strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds.
They took the time to get to know my hair and what I wanted. I felt seen and not judged plus the treatment felt and smelt amazing!!! It is such a nice change to have someone who knows how to care for your hair. They really care about their clients and love what they do. I am falling back in love with my hair again.
TLDR: Amazing experience where I felt cared for. Loving the end results more and more by the day.
Don’t typically write reviews, but this one is necessary. 4 years ago in DC I got my hair cut by a stylist that didn’t listen to me and cut too much, since then I refused to trust other people with my hair. Rooted Hair Studio changed that, it was a healing experience for me.

I have been trying to figure out how to leave this review since my first visit here. This was by far the best experience I have had at a salon in many years. I reverted back to my natural hair after years of sew-ins and I am so happy I chose Rooted Hair Studio for this process. Danielle and her staff were phenomenal!! Danielle colored my hair and styled it and for the first time in 25 years I am back in love with my natural hair!! This place is excellent in every way that matters and I will surely return for more services. Top Notch!!
