Everything about purchasing a home is scary. This is especially the case for a first-time homebuyer. Parts of the process feel confusing, and with so much information coming at you all at once, it can quickly become overwhelming. As such, choosing the right person and company for a home inspection was incredibly important to me. I needed to feel confident in my decision making. Selecting Robert Reilly and ValueGuard Home Inspections, was one of the best decisions I have made in this process. From the start, Robert was incredibly responsive. I saw a post highlighting the great and thorough job he does as a home inspector and decided to look him up! Right away he seemed to listen and understand what I was trying to accomplish and made scheduling effortless. Before the inspection got underway, he asked if this was my first time going through the process and was interested in the response. As he moved through the home, he kept me informing and helped me understand not just what he was looking at, but why it mattered. I felt comfortable asking questions, and he answered them patiently and clearly. More than once he reminded me that he was working with my best interest in mind. In those moments, I realized I had been holding my breath. Robert helped me to exhale. Additionally, true to his word, the inspection report was received exactly when he said it would be. There was no guesswork, no delays. I cannot say enough about the great experience I had with Valueguard and Robert. Jim, Valueguard's manager, was equally responsive and attentive. He Explained the process clearly and immediately followed up with my agent even before I had a chance! I have already started telling people, "If you're ever looking for a guy... I got one for you!" I know that's a mouthful, but that's how great I feel about my experience!

I know that James will tell you, “I was just doing my job.” But James showed us things that we would never have asked or tried and pointed out things that we would have certainly overlooked. I chose James because his bio states, “James is known for his thoroughness, clear communication, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.”, and He certainly lives up to that. He’s the real deal.
