There are so many things to love about this theater. It's one of those old school "event cinema" venues, ideal for film festivals (like the Philadelphia Film Festival held here). The theater is also home to the Philadelphia Film Society, run by people who love and appreciate all aspects of a good cinema experience. As such, the Film Center has incredible sound design, top-tier projection, and a taught, clean screen.The staff here is also super friendly and solution's-oriented. Went to film preview. Set up was lovely and theater pretty comfy. Movie was great.The popcorn, however was horrible!! $8 a bag and it was cold, chewy(sitting too long) and the bag was about 2/3 full. I'd give it to the birds but they'd get sick! So mad I bought 2 bags. Neither of us ate it. ?

Great local theaters that offer blockbuster showing and classic film showings. I recommend PFS to anyone and everyone in town. I’m a member and can’t recommend membership enough. Staff is always friendly and kind.
