Dr. Rachel is awesome! I came to her after having been through 10 months of PT for back and neck issues. My one experience with a chiropractor prior to Rachel was disastrous. He basically body slammed me, which left me violently ill for 24 hours. So needless to say I came into my first visit with Rachel more than a little paranoid and skeptical of chiropractors. From the very first eval and adjustment, my experience could not have been more different. Rachel was very gentle and took the time to explain everything to me. She has a magical touch and intuition about the body that feels like it comes from a higher place. She is so obviously passionate about her work, and that really shines through. Though its only been 6 weeks of treatment, I've already started to see some significant improvements. I would most highly recommend Dr. Rachel!
I was a little cautious initially because I wasn't familiar with the science Dr. Rachel referenced to in our first appointments together, but it works!! Chiropractic work is of course no "quick fix," but honestly, my husband and I look forward to our weekly appointments like nothing else. It's SO NICE having such an excellent business in the neighborhood and I wish more people knew about it so they could take advantage!! Dr. Rachel has a confident but relaxed demeanor, and is equally easy with carrying on a conversation or meditatively going about her work while you relax. Plus, I am usually afraid of dogs, but like Dr. Rachel, her pet, Charlie, is calm and gentle and easy to be around. Dr. Rachel's adjustments are often more subtle than that of past chiropractors of mine, but they have profound results, from relaxing specific tense/knotted spots to somehow loosening up my whole upper body, making even breathing easier. Since starting with Dr. Rachel about a year ago now when we moved into the neighborhood, not only have my carpal tunnel and overall pain levels have gone way down, but I sleep easier, digest easier, and experience way fewer cramps and headaches. Plus, she lets you pay either by appointment or with a monthly package, which saves you a little money. Go to Mt Airy Chiropractic!!
