I’ve been following Bud for years throughout Philadelphia. His work has always been consistent. He truly is an exceptional barber and person. When Bud told me that his shop was opening, I was thrilled to see his dreams become a reality. Even though I can’t make it out to Bud’s for a haircut, I cannot stress enough that you won’t find a better shop in Philadelphia. Exceptional staff. Exceptional owner. 10/10.
Bud’s shop is truly something special in South Philly. Their unique feel and laid back style shows through in many different ways from the causal chair conversations to coffee table books in the waiting area. I’ve been going to Bud’s shop for over two years now and I’ve never walked away unsatisfied. Bud has cut my hair in the past, but Jarvis now takes great care of me every time I go in for a cut. Except his first in a race car chair, my son has gotten every haircut at Buds for the last five years. Bud does an amazing job engaging kids and helping them not only sit through but love getting their hair cut. I love the entire shop’s vibe, and I love how it translates to the little ones: the “kid friendly” punk playlist that gets switched on when we come in, the old heads who want to talk The Birds with the kids as much as they do the other guys, the “Hold Still Club” (proud member), and the treats (never ending dum dums and Croc jibbits, what more could a 7y/o want?)
