Work was done well, but I felt $85 was extremely expensive for just hemming a dress. Maybe I’m just out of touch with alteration prices but last time I hemmed anything, it was probably more like $25. I was expecting maybe $40 or so, but $85 seems steep. It was almost as much as the dress itself. It was a satin-like long gown, so maybe it was the material.
Although, I live in New Jersey, I will take the ride to Itene’s as Maureen does great work. We have brought both of my daughter’s prom gowns there and she was happy both times. Just a note, she only takes cash and checks.
Went to drop off a button down shirt for my dad who had a stroke and could not do buttons so we wanted to try velcro. Was told by the owner and the seamstress it would cost 12$ . My wife went to pick it up when I was told it was ready. They charged her 18$. Why would you lie and cheat patrons. Will tell everyone on social media. Crooks.
