An option for anyone wanting to complete cosmetology school but needs a flexible schedule. Ms. S is an amazing instructor! There are also some incredibly talented students who are always willing to practice on the public!

I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone . All the other reviews just about sums it up . There’s red flags all over the place She preys on the students that attend for money . Let’s not talk about the condition of the school . It’s gross the nail room does not have proper ventilation and there’s not even enough room for everybody who attends its literally a circus, save your time and money you might as well attend YOUTUBE UNIVERSITY ??‍♀️ I no longer attend and recently decided to switch career paths due to all the chaos and toxicity at that place

This is the grossest establishment I’ve ever been to. The salon was a mess every single time I visited and the bathrooms were untouchable to put it nicely.? Every time I came here to get a service done they didn’t have any of the supplies they needed in order to do my hair. I once asked to get my hair dyed black and they made me buy my own products because they didn’t have anything there. When I came back with the dye they told me I bought the wrong product but they couldn’t give me the right one BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY HAIR DYE AT THE HAIR SALON?‍♀️. lmao this place is such a joke. And even though I bought my own products they still charged me for the service and my hairstylist didn’t see any of that money. I sat in for a class one time and watched a woman “teach” a makeup class by slapping lilac eyeshadow on a woman and giving her mascara. I actually laughed out loud at this and my sister scolded me because that was the best effort she had ever seen from that teacher because “at least she’s trying” She couldn’t actually do any makeup (the poor model looked terrible afterwards). I’m not sure why people pay to go here, but I would HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere with your time and money.

This is completely false advertising. I paid this woman over 21,000 dollars to go here and she didn’t spend even close to that on the school. I paid this woman top dollar and was forced to teach myself or learn nothing. Constantly I had to go home or do nothing because she didn’t buy the supplies necessary for me to learn cosmetology. It’s not a safe environment, completely unsanitary conditions and teachers who were so uneducated I was forced to perform a pedicure on a man with fungus nails on his bleeding feet. The “professional” tools she supplies in our kits are so cheap they either broke within a week or never worked and I had to buy my own. I had to turn my own clients away one week because the hot water was broken and she did not fix it. The outlets are also constantly broken. She never bought proper hair products for the school so I never learned how to use them! And that’s my tuition money she didn’t spend. She had no hair color unless we requested/ordered it in advance, that’s like asking a plumber what size tools he needs before he’s even seeing the pipes. This made it actually impossible to take clients and never in the 3 times someone actually walked in for a service were they happy leaving. Not to mention if I ever did take a walk in client it was likely my first time doing whatever it was and I’d be so scared because the teachers couldn’t/wouldn’t help me. So I would just spend HOURS trying to get it right. Imagine you pay $21,000 for a good education and this woman remodels her home with it then sends you to school with shampoo in the soap dispenser. And it’s also really gross the barbacide never got changed unless I did it and I graduated so… One time she took the wax pot away, she said we made too big of a mess so she just took it. Actively disrupting my education at all times.

They don’t actually do any teaching they just let you sit in there class room and then say you got the hours you have to learn everything independently, there also running a scam with student loans to steal money, once you’ve completed it you have to pay your loans in full or they won’t let you get your transcript, or anything, the whole place is a dump all the equipment is garbage, the owner smells really bad, if you can go anywhere else other then here I guarantee you the other place is better

This school takes tuition off if students post good reviews. They are the worst buyer beware!!!!!!

The most unorganized school. I’ve been graduated for over 7 weeks and can’t even take my test because they will not send my transcript in. They won’t email back but they’ll delete my reviews. When I attended the school they had no supplies. Very unorganized. Different teachers every two weeks. Would not recommend unless you want to spend more $ after graduation getting a attorney or contacting wpxi just to test for boards. Would not recommendAlso they prey on lower income students don’t even bother getting a loan unless you plan on having it completely paid off when you graduate or they hold your certificates. This school should be shut down

Because I work full time- I needed a FLEXIBLE schedule for an Esthetician program and decided to take the chance and go to Fountain of Youth academy. Rebecca helped me so much and truly cares about her students succeeding and the school doing well. She is constantly checking up on you to make sure everything is going smoothly, your not falling behind in anything, and you understand the process. I could say so many more good things about her. Also, Kara is a teacher there and she has a wonderful approach in teaching especially for adults going back- she makes it laid back and fun to learn and you can tell she cares about the students and their success. Also, the kits you get are extremely nice and a lot of thought was put into those- starting you off with advanced and high end supplies for practice clients.
