l was treated by Dr Upadhyay for more than 20 years. Prior to seeing him, no other doctors were able to treat me in a manner which l was able to live a life where my pain became manageable. Manageable so l could go to work every day, provide support for my family, work until retirement. While doing all of this l had 6 hip replacements throughout the years as osteoarthritis pain became overwhelming but Dr Upadhyay did his best to maintain my pain. My wife had been going to Dr. Upadhyay for over 12 years. He has a very mild and calming voice during appointments. He was very up to date on new pain medicines. We were recently told (5 weeks ago) and then were subsequently notified by letter (this week) that his practice has closed.
I spent a year seeing Dr.Upadhyay and what I got for my effort is a partially crippled foot because of a Dangerous operation which was caused mostly by an Incompetent Surgeon Dr. Heather Theime.He told me I had a possible Neuropathy that had to be confirmed by a Biopsy of the foot Sural Nerve. I went to a supposedly good surgeon who turned out to be completely incompetent for this problem and my foot is now damaged after over 7 years running.(9/2016)I found out through University of PA Neurology that you RARELY use this Biopsy method and always use basic electrical testing (EMG) or NEEDLE BIOPSY to diagnose Neuropathy.
