All the complaints I just read sound like a basic warehouse production type job that usually guys only did and that's the place Tom girls would go and you can wear comfy normal clothes to and have tattoos and be yourself pretty much for the pay hourly seems laid back....
Stay away from this place at all costs if you can help it. Quantity is the best policy if you work there. Management cares nothing for employees or their safety. Everyone is replaceable. Rats scurry around the lunch room and inside the vending machines. Rat feces cover the cabinets that store extra condiments and sporks. Second shift takes on the majority of the workload out of all three shifts. QC is the worst department since the manager lets first shift do whatever they please and harass other employees whenever they feel like it. Safety is not a priority, so watch out for faulty hoses that can spray acid up into your eyes under your safety glasses and your hands getting caught in moving machinery. Pray the AC and heat don't break at any point because it'll be weeks before anyone does anything about it. As long as the offices and areas storing product are taken care of, places heavily occupied by employees are secondary. Overall, steer clear if you value your health.
This is the worst place I've ever worked at. I've been here for 4 years. There's an us VS them mentality between the shifts. I've been injured pretty severely a few times and nothing was done to fix the equipment to prevent injuries from occurring again. There's little protection and ventilation when working with chemicals. The building is very loud, too. You're expected to wear steel toe shoes on the concrete floor. This year, in the summer, the air conditioning broke and the company didn't bother fixing it for several days, leaving the employees to suffer in the high heat. You're not allowed to have water bottles, either. Also, there is no employee handbook and no "no bullying policy", so that management can avoid helping you. Someone was being bullied and had a ton of evidence, including threats and slander, and management refused to do anything about it. There were several meetings that amounted to nothing because the people committing the harrassment just played dumb to the situation, despite the evidence against them. QC is the worst place to work because the manager is useless, can't be honest, and can't think for herself. The new HR lady yelled at the person who was being bullied and refused to hear what she had to say, even though we listened to what she had to say, but that same amount of respect was not reciprocated. There are a couple decent people here, but the amount of unqualified people outnumbers the few, making the job miserable.
