Metro Pet Vet is the newest veterinary practice in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As part of the Manheim Pike Veterinary family, their motto is: "Serving Pets, Their People and the Bonds Between Them." The professional and courteous team seeks to provide compassionate care while treating dogs, cats, small mammals, birds or exotics like family. The staff is friendly and gentle, using calming techniques to reduce pet anxiety. Pets often show improvements in health and happiness after receiving supplements and probiotics recommended by the veterinarians. The office is clean and welcoming, and clients appreciate the caring and helpful staff. Although parking can be limited with only three spaces, clients find the overall experience positive and are eager to establish ongoing care for their pets at this downtown location.
I cannot say enough about them. The staff are so kind and understanding. Dr. Savage is the most wonderful vet I have experienced and I have had numerous animals throughout my life. I had to bring my cat Peached in to be put down and the experience was so dignified and caring. I will take all my pets to her. The beautiful card which had her paws and nose prints was so appreciated. I can’t say enough about them and Dr. Savage. Please try them and see for yourself. 🩷
Metro Pet Vet is the best. I spent years in NYC bouncing from vet to vet being continually frustrated by the inability to approve prescriptions or the outrageous pricing of the more deluxe options and the rushed, chaotic atmosphere. When I moved to Lancaster I was so happy to find Metro Pet Vet. Their professionalism is top notch and they really take care to spend time with their patients and make sure that the pet parents understand what's what. Bottom line, they are kind caring and competent (to say the least). And they are right on it with approving prescriptions. I have moved on once again up to MA this time and I truly miss MPV. Thank you!
Dr Savage is so kind and compassionate! She was very supportive when I cared for my boxer with degenerative mylopothy. She was also very caring with my senior pomeranian Twinkie. She always checked in and asked about her even after I moved to Florida. I truly wish Dr. Savage could have treated Twinkie before she got sick and passed away. My mom continues to see Dr. Savage with her young sassy pomeranian. She can be a little spicy but Dr. Savage gives her the same loving treatment she gave our other pets. Dr Savage is a true gem and we are very grateful for her!
